The unit meets strict United States Environmental Protection Agency protocols for microbiological water purifiers, and its slim shape allows the purifying wand to be placed directly into a water container such as a glass, water bottle, or canteen. Four AA batteries (not included) provide enough power to treat up to 150 16 oz. containers of water before requiring a battery change, and there are no chemicals that can change the taste of water or that require an extensive waiting period before consumption.
